The Greater Yellowstone Coalition or The (GYC) is a very well known project / Program… The program helps people young and old advocate for the wildlife of the park…. And if you don’t already know the program has at least 17,000 (seventeen-thousand) volunteers world wide. These volunteers dedicate their time to preserving the wildlife in and around the national park at all costs. These individuals also help organize youth groups and a number of other activities… As we all know wild life and endangered animals / species are an important part of the environment… The Greater Yellowstone Coalition or The ( GYC) as I like to call it was founded in 1983. Today the coalition is known world wide… Also it is a very informative program unlike other wildlife programs that we hear of today…. So How Does The Greater Yellowstone Coalition Protect The Environment? Well let’s re-cap 1. Via – Advocacy 2. Via – Volunteering 3. Via – Dedication 4. Via – Absolute wildlife preservation 5. Via – Organization 6. Via – Group Activities 7. Via Co-operation 8. Via – Very Very hard work… I would say these are very good ways of helping the environment wouldn’t you… And just think… You can too.

The Yellowstone Association seeks to protect Yellowstone Park and the environment as a whole through educational programs and services. The Yellowstone Association is a non-profit organization that provides educational supplies and programs about the protection of Yellowstone Park.

The Yellowstone Association was originally started in 1933 as a research library dedicated to the protection of Yellowstone but has slowly evolved into being a funding source for educational, scientific, and historic programs through the sale of research materials and memberships to the Association. The Association also provides classes on a number of topics related to conservation of Yellowstone such as the park’s wildlife and it’s geothermal features.

Since it’s creation in 1933, the Association has given 24.5 million to the National Park Service for it’s continued preservation and conservation of Yellowstone National Park. The Yellowstone Association had assisted in preserving Yellowstone National Park with it’s preservation efforts through the sale of educational materials for visitors to the park as well as schools across the country. It continues to find new ways to support Yellowstone National Park by consistently coming up with new programming options, new brochures about the wildlife and plant-life in the area, and other great features of the park and it’s location.

Friends of Pathways in Jackson, Wyoming, was founded in 1994 with the farsighted goal of creating alternative routes for non-automobile users in Jackson and the surrounding communities. Under the auspices of the Friends of Pathways, the Jackson Hole Community Pathways system has grown to 33 miles of trails for non-motorized use by bikers, pedestrians, skiers and equestrians. Projects underway and already completed include trails systems in Wilson and a connecting pathway from Jackson to Jenny Lake, as well as a multi-use trail system from Grand Teton National Park south on Highway 390 with a connection to the Centennial Trail in Wilson. You can find a quick rundown here

For seventeen years, Friends of Pathways has partnered with governmental agencies, including the United States Forest service, and community businesses to build and maintain environmentally-friendly trails and pathways in Wyoming. Through their Commuter Choice Challenge and Go By Bike School Challenge, Friends of Pathways has encouraged the communities it serves to make an environmentally-friendly transportation choice. Reducing dependence on automobile transportation helps reduce pollution and save on energy consumption and thus keeps our air and waterways cleaner. As a result of the volunteer efforts of Friends of Pathways, the Jackson communities are doing their bit to reduce global warming.

The Grand Teton National Park Foundation is an excellent project and program… They help by providing a private means of a good financial support for projects… Especially very important and very special projects designed to better the environment…These projects normally take place in or around a given national park… The Grand Teton National Park Foundation is not as widely known or as widely popular as certain other National Park programs or National Park Projects. Yet while there are some National Park Projects and Foundations that are mainly in it for the money The Grand Teton National Park Foundation is certainly not in it for the money at all… In fact since the year 1997 this foundation has raised a whole lot of money for the sole purpose of educating other people on how to support the environment over 20 million dollars to be exact… This Foundation has supported the environment very very well in the past four-teen (14) years. Also I am pretty sure they will in next four-teen (14) years… The reason why The Grand Teton National Park Foundation supports the environment I think is solely based on the fact that they are a National Park program and as we all know these types of programs are usually the ones involved in supporting the environment. Yet don’t take my word for it.What’s 1 more click?
