The Yellowstone Association seeks to protect Yellowstone Park and the environment as a whole through educational programs and services. The Yellowstone Association is a non-profit organization that provides educational supplies and programs about the protection of Yellowstone Park.
The Yellowstone Association was originally started in 1933 as a research library dedicated to the protection of Yellowstone but has slowly evolved into being a funding source for educational, scientific, and historic programs through the sale of research materials and memberships to the Association. The Association also provides classes on a number of topics related to conservation of Yellowstone such as the park’s wildlife and it’s geothermal features.
Since it’s creation in 1933, the Association has given 24.5 million to the National Park Service for it’s continued preservation and conservation of Yellowstone National Park. The Yellowstone Association had assisted in preserving Yellowstone National Park with it’s preservation efforts through the sale of educational materials for visitors to the park as well as schools across the country. It continues to find new ways to support Yellowstone National Park by consistently coming up with new programming options, new brochures about the wildlife and plant-life in the area, and other great features of the park and it’s location.
